When required, and in line with Australian standards, we toughen glass. For example, to create safety glass for shower screens or glass balustrades.

TuffCo operate specially designed glass furnaces at Newcastle and Coffs Harbour to manufacture toughened safety glass.

Float glass options

We toughen glass from our line of float glasses, and performance float glasses designed for Australian conditions.

Sheet size information

We can toughen glass panels up to a maximum size of 2440mm x 3660mm. There is also a minimum glass panel size, of approximately 300mm x 100mm.
