The application of custom glass design often requires holes, notches or cut-outs. For example, notches to allow hinges to be fitted to frameless shower screens, shapes and holes for glass balustrades, or cut-outs for power points in splash backs.
We cut shapes and holes in float and laminate glass using highly accurate water jet and computer numeric control (CNC) cutting machines.
When glass requires holes, notches or cut-outs, the glass also needs to be toughened to avoid cracking or breaking, and to ensure Australian safety standards.
We cut shapes, holes and notches in glass from our line of stocked glasses, including float and laminate glasses, and performance float and performance laminate glasses designed for Australian conditions.
We also stock and cut pyroceramic glass used in ovens and fireplaces, and vinyl backed glass used in wardrobes, shop fitting and commercial spaces.
We can CNC cut float and laminate glass panels up to a maximum size of 1500mm x 3000mm.
Our water jet cutting can cut up to a maximum size of 1950mm x 3800mm.
